Nannies and Doulas On Call also provide sitters on a temporary or occasional basis for an evening out, a weekend away or a replacement for your regular nanny or childcare provider. Our nannies also provide quality care for your children in your hotel room/suite.

The word, "doula," comes from the Greek word for the most important female slave or servant in an ancient Greek household, the woman who probably helped the lady of the house through her childbearing. The word has come to refer to "a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth" (Klaus, Kennell and Klaus, Mothering The Mother). The use of doulas (both birth and postpartum) is on the increase and many new mothers have experienced their benefits.

Why Are We Different?

We offer nannies on a permanent or temporary basis who are able to assist you either full-time or part-time. The reason our services are so special is because our nannies are trained by doulas to be the best newborn caregivers ever! Our agency is also specialized in Doula Care. Our doulas are experienced in multiples, overnight care, preemies and mother's care.

Although the majority of our clients tend to be from the Durham Region, which includes Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax and Pickering, as well as in Toronto and the GTA, our services are available all across Ontario.
